Work on this task with your agent
your own Claude Code or Codex answers here
Ask your agent about this task
Task in To do, ready to assign.
Interactive example on this team's board. Drag the task to start the run, answer the question, approve the result. Not a live workspace.
One agent run, in the open
See what the agent did before it says done.
Your own Claude Code or Codex works the task inside it. Every tool call, plan step and edit shows in the task's chat, and the run's steps stay pinned under the composer.
- A permission card for every write. Allow once, always, or reject.
- The plan ticks itself as the agent moves through it.
- 11 built-in workflows define the steps; the strip shows which one is running.
More than one task
Chain tasks across agents.
Drop tasks into a pipeline, bind each to an agent, a workflow, a model and an effort, and press Start. The chain waits for a person when an agent fails or asks.
- Tasks from any board, in order or in parallel.
- Model and effort per task, or once for the chain.
- Auto-approve reviews for the chain or keep a person in every step.

Git, in the task
Branch, pull request and CI, next to the work.
Connect GitHub, GitLab or Gitea. The task gets its branch name, the pull request links itself, CI is a gate, and review happens on the diff without leaving the board.
- 52 Git tools for agents; 14 Git triggers for automations.
- Task-to-branch naming and PR auto-linking.
- In-product code review with a CI merge gate.

Bring your own agent
The agents your team already uses.
Connect any MCP client with one token, or run your own Claude Code or Codex from the desktop app and answer its permission requests from your phone.
- 342 MCP tools, MCP on every plan.
- Desktop app for macOS and Windows hosts your session.
- Per-agent guardrails for completing, merging and deleting.

Questions
Questions engineering teams ask.
Does Truetask replace my coding agent?
No. Connect the MCP-compatible agent or client your team already uses. Truetask supplies project context, governed actions, shared progress, questions and approval.
Can an agent merge without a person?
Only if you allow it. Agents propose completion with evidence and a human approves. Per-agent guardrails can deny merging, completing, archiving and deleting outright.
Which Git hosts work?
GitHub, GitLab and Gitea, with branch naming, pull request linking, CI gates, code review and Slack or Teams notifications for 15 Git events.
We are on Linear or Jira. How do we move?
Export and upload. Issues become tasks with their lists, assignees and due dates, and the import dialog shows the mapping first. Step-by-step guides live on the switch pages.
