Getting started
Pick a workspace name, choose a region, and you're in. Your workspace is ready in minutes, there's nothing to install, and no credit card is required. The free plan is a full hosted workspace, not a time-limited trial.
Sign-in is passwordless. Enter your email and we send you a one-time sign-in link. Click it and you're in, with no passwords to remember or reset.
Each workspace lives at its own address, <slug>.truetask.app. When you create it you choose where your data is stored: a US region or an EU region.
No. Truetask is a cloud tool you open in the browser, with nothing to install, host, or maintain to get started. If you ever want to run it yourself, you can export everything and self-host later.
Plans & billing
A full hosted workspace, no credit card: up to 5 users, unlimited boards and tasks, 512 MB of storage, 5 active automations, and a scoped MCP credential. An idle workspace sleeps after a couple of days and wakes on your next visit. Your data is never deleted.
Pro is $6/user/mo (25 users, 20GB, advanced automations, bring-your-own AI, and no hibernation). Team is $10/user/mo (100 users, 100GB, governed agent loops, webhooks, audit logs, and priority support). Both are billed per user.
Yes. Upgrade or cancel whenever you like; paid plans are billed per user. You can export your full workspace to JSON at any time, on any plan, so you're never locked in.
Yes. Self-Hosted is a $5,000 one-time perpetual license for unlimited users on your own infrastructure. Start hosted today and move to self-host whenever it suits you.
Your data & privacy
Always. A full JSON export of your workspace is available at any time, on every plan. Your data is yours. Export it whenever you want, no approval needed.
No. Truetask is built to leave with you: export to JSON and self-host whenever you choose, with no penalty and no proprietary trap.
In the region you pick when you create your workspace, US or EU, and it stays there. A free workspace that goes idle just sleeps; nothing is ever deleted.

Yes, on every plan. The free plan includes 1 scoped MCP credential; Pro adds bring-your-own AI, and Team adds governed agent loops for safe, automated work.
Yes. Pro includes advanced automations, and Team adds governed agent loops plus webhooks for connecting Truetask to the rest of your stack.
Yes. Import from Trello, Asana, Jira, Notion, Linear, GitHub, or Todoist to bring your existing projects and tasks across. The import dialog shows exactly what maps before anything is written.
The API is available on Pro and above, alongside webhooks on Team, so you can build integrations on top of your workspace.
